Differences In The Hateful Eight 70 mm Version
Everyone's been raving about Quentin Tarantino's new flick, “The Hateful Eight.” But we haven't all seen the same movie. “The Hateful Eight” is being shown in theaters in both 35 and 70mm. Here are the things you missed if you didn't catch The Hateful Eight in 70mm:
- On the edge of the frame, the n word appears thirty seven times
- extra tassels and ribbons can be seen in the dance sequence
- the bedroom at 1:01:30 contains one extra houseplant
- instead of the Old West, the film takes place in a small glass bottle
- the lettuce at the 45:15 appears much greener and crisper
- Samuel L Jackson's third arm can be seen in the bar fight at 11:21
- the last sentence in the really long scroll Kurt Russell unfurls width-wise is legible
- when Michael Madson tells Bruce Dern to “look at that thing go!” we can now see he's referring to a particularly pokey hedgehog crawling across the tundra
- Tim Roth no longer screams and shakes all the rattlesnakes out of his tuxedo
- the sideboob shots at 1:20, 3:59, 2:02:21, 58:27, 2:05:17, and :02 are now full boob
- Gorg The Magnificent no longer absorbs the souls of the forgotten elves
- The intermission is both seven minutes longer and seven minutes wider
- In the big wide shot at 34:14, six of the eight Hatefuls are no longer off screen.
- every actor's Twitter handle now properly appears in the lower third instead of hovering over their foreheads
- Ads for the “Hateful Eight” roadshow will properly close when clicked on
- The laugh track now features Latino laughs
- Tarantino's cameo as a racist used buggy salesman now has several buggies with the n word scrawled on the side
- The title card no longer reads “the Hat-ful Eight” (all the talking hats are still prominently featured)
